Genre: Hard Rock & Metal
Artist:Children Of Bodom
I am now saying that this is still a fucking great album from one of my favorite heavy metal band! If you have Children Of Bodom's "Are You Dead Yet?" or even their older albums, I bet you'll find no regret in spending around twenty-five bucks only to buy their latest record. Brother Alexi promised to make the album heavier and more progressive than their previous album, and he did not forget to add thrash taste into their music, o yea, many people also refer this album to the power metal genre, but I still consider this album as the melodic death metal (although Alexi is
happier if you just say Children Of Bodom is a heavy metal band, ha!) .

You'll not find 'clean' vocals in this album (*fyi: you can only hear Alexi's clean vocal in the song "Rebel Yell" which is sung originally by Billy Idol), but I would say that Alexi's death metal vocal style is still clear in transferring their lyrics, at least to my fucking ears.

The Album include 9 new tracks, including the re-recorded version of the song "Tie My Rope". The various edition of this album also featured bonus tracks, mine is the limited edition digipak version that include only one bonus track called "Ghostriders In The Sky" (Stan Jones cover) and a DVD with 5.1 surround mixes of all songs and the video and making-of for "Bloodrunk". One thing about the "Blooddrunk" video, it was shot in Berlin, and the video is simply cool, and 'dark'.

The mystic energy that comes from each song always fill my hearing since last week (yea you know that the album was just released on April 9th, and I just bought the CD last Thursday). Awesome guitar solos and riffs (as always) combine with heavy bass, melodic organ, and still heavy and sometimes faster drum-beat, all covered with Alexi's hot tempered vocal and also aggressive lyrics, yea I call that the ingredients of Bodom's masterpieces!

From the first track called "Hellhounds On My Trail" (I think this song will be their second single), COB brings you the fast and powerful sound to your ears, it is more than enough to satisfy my needs because COB tell y'all how to attract the listeners at the first opening tune in a heavy album.

Songs like "Blooddrunk" (their first single) and "Banned From Heaven" are called slow but still heavy and awesome by me. If you find out all tracks on this album, you'll find many songs that are faster. The bonus track which is Stan Jones cover also gives me another good music and I found 'funny' elements inside.

All songs inside this album are fucking awesome, you can check the song "LoBodomy", that's a really cool song with hip metal-like chorus (Kimberly Goss contributed in writing the lyrics). If you want fast and heavy sound, listen to "Roadkill Morning", "Hellhounds On My Trail", and "Done With Everything, Die For Nothing".

You don't need to be a die-hard COB fan if you need a fucking good music, I'm just saying, this COB's latest album is fucking cool! Maybe COB is not the 'best' fucking band in the world, but at least they got many best fans with them. Let's smile pretty for the devil.

Again, I shall raise my horns to y'all \m/
